David's Premium Natural Toothpaste Review

I had the opportunity to try out my first all natural toothpaste, David's Premium Natural Toothpaste and I LOVED it! The texture is very smooth and the mint taste isn't too strong like some mint toothpastes can be. I also am really behind the company not only for the product but for the message behind the brand. David's Natural focuses on the Earth with sustainable packaging & a recyclable metal tube, our health, using natural ingredients and our Economy in the USA, using 98% USA Origin ingredients!

Something very important to me, especially as a parent is what ingredients are in the products I use. Many toothpaste brands contain the ingredient, Fluoride which is a huge health risk, especially for kids under 6 years old. My son is a preemie baby so even the tiniest thing could be harmful to him. I also love how this toothpaste is SLS Free which means it contains no sodium lauryl sulfate, sulfate free. Instead, David's uses Sodium Cocyl Glutamate which is the natural alternative ingredient. This is made from coconut oil and helps for cleaning and whitening of the teeth.

David's Premium Natural Toothpaste has no fake anything when it comes to ingredients! Instead of artificial flavoring, they use Spearmint Leaf Oil(Mentha Virdis) and Wintergreen Leaf Oil(Gaultheria Procumbens). I truly loved the taste of this product and didn't think it was too much, even with the added natural sweetener Stevia.  I thought there was a perfect amount of flavor.

Another cool little extra that comes with this product is the tube key! I always have the toughest time with other toothpaste tubes because I can't get all of the product out of the tube without twisting and folding it. With this handy little tool, you can ensure you get every last healthy bit out of the fully recyclable tube!

My favorite part of this company is the fact that they use no animal testing and are a member of Leaping Bunny(Companies dedicated to humane animal treatment). David's Naturals also uses FSC Certified Paperboard Packaging which is the only system supported by amazing forest certification groups,such as WWF, Natural Resources Defense Council, etc. Got to love a company committed to our Earth, animals and people!

Tom's of Maine Baby Product Review

I love natural baby products and Tom's of Maine has a Baby Care line that I now love! I recently got the opportunity to try out the Baby Shampoo & Wash and Baby Moisturizing Lotion for my honest opinion. The products are a hypoallergenic formula containing plant-based ingredients! Plant based products are always my favorite because they are safer for your baby.  The products are produced with NO animal testing and are Pediatrician tested. The products also offer you the option of Fragrance Free or Lightly Scented(I enjoy the Lightly Scented myself!) The baby care line also includes a Diaper Cream and Sunscreen that I will be trying in the future!

I first tried the Baby Shampoo & Wash while giving my 3 month old Oliver a bath! He loves to splish & splash and enjoys bath time more and more each day. The baby shampoo had a nice light scent and didn't make my son's skin breakout! I could tell it cleaned him thoroughly and left a nice after smell. The line also doesn't contain any artificial chemical preservatives which I love! The Shampoo & body wash wasn't overly sudsy which was another plus!

After Oliver's bath, I used the Baby Moisturizing Lotion on him. The lotion soaked in after and left his skin feeling soft! I love that this product keeps my baby's skin soft and healthy with no artificial ingredients. I didn't think the product was greasy. I may even consider using the product regularly.

Bloom Baby Wipes

I have recently tried a baby wipe product from Bloom Baby. The wipes interested me because they are made with 98% natural ingredients and also made with 100% Hydro Pure Water. My son was born premature so I am always choosy on what products to use on him. The wipes didn't cause my son to break out because they are safe for babies and toddlers with Rash and Eczema Prone Skin! The wipes are made with plant obtained vitamins(A, B-complex, D, Omega -3 & -6.)

The wipes are made Cruelty Free which is extremely important and are produced with clean wind energy! The back of the box also has an ingredient list, purpose of the ingredient and their Bloom Kind Co. skin safe rating. Of the 11 ingredients, only 2 of them are of any risk(Phenoxyethanol, a minor risk and Potassium Sorbate, a very minor risk.)

The wipes were great for my son and I love the natural smell they have, very fresh and fragrance free. The box also had a feeding and wet/dry diaper chart which is great for first time moms like myself. I especially liked the chart because my son was born premature and in the NICU they had him on a 3 hour eating schedule. We kept that up when we first got home. My only dislike was the way the wipes stuck together when I tried to pull one out. The case of wipes also comes with a handy carrying case. It's very lightweight and has a cute design just like the wipe packs do!  There is no doubt about it, these wipes are stylish!

Molly's Suds Cloth Diaper Laundry Powder Review

I have been in search of the best products for my baby and family. Many of my favorites have been made with natural ingredients and are Eco-Friendly! And that's the reason I stumbled upon Molly's Suds!

Molly's Suds began due to the tragedy of a stillbirth. As explained on the company's website, the goal is to create products that are free from non-natural toxins and to educate others about these toxins. The founder, Monica Leonard, discovered in a European study that baby cord blood contained at least 240 chemicals and half of those were from products we use in our everyday lives, such as, food, personal care, household and environmental products! I couldn't believe the facts once I read them and I would never have known if it wasn't for this AMAZING company. I recently had my first son, a baby born 7 weeks premature, so this story really touched my heart!

Molly's Suds makes laundry products that are sensitive to skin. The company is cruelty free which is a huge plus in my book because I'm an animal lover(they also make dog shampoo)! The products contain no GMOs, are 100% Vegan and are sensitive to allergies because they are Gluten and Nut Free!  The laundry products are High Efficiency(HE) safe and contain no harmful chemicals, like 1, 4-dioxane or formaldehyde! The products are also septic safe.

I wrote Molly's Suds and the company was nice enough to send me a bag of their Cloth Diaper Laundry Powder. Although, I do not use cloth diapers, I used the powder on my son's clothes. The powder worked wonders for my babies clothes, making them not only softer but brighter! The product didn't give my son any rashes or cause any breakouts to his skin. I am extremely satisfied with this product and will be incorporating the Laundry Powder into my daily laundry routine. I can't wait to try more products from this company!

Fresh Wave Product Review

Lately, I've been loving the new trend of organic products for my home. I had recently stumbled across Fresh Wave. Fresh Wave is a product line which includes gels, sprays and even laundry booster which are all natural odor removing products! Fresh Wave uses pure and natural ingredients such as water and natural extracts to remove odors rather than covering them up with perfumes! I wrote to the company and they were kind enough to send me a box containing three of their products and it even had a cute bag to go with the products! I have tried out all of the products and I am going to share my honest thoughts on them.






Here are some more in detail facts about Fresh Wave products:

1.) The products natural ingredients are extracts from pine needle, clove, cedar wood and aniseed!

2.) No harsh chemicals or perfumes are used in their products!

3.)Their products are available at Target, Bed, Bath & Beyond and Ace Hardware to name a few!

4.) The products are non-toxic, non-gmo and non-hazardous to people, pets and our planet!

5.) Each product has picture codes for what it can be used on which makes the products SUPER convenient(you won't have to guess what you can use it on!)

The first product I gave a try was the odor removing gel. All I did was peel the seal and place the product in my bathroom. I couldn't believe how nice and fresh it smelled. I am so thankful I was sent the odor removing gel to try out. The gel lasts anywhere between 60 to 90 days and I WILL be purchasing more when the time comes. This product can be used anywhere in your home, car or even boats!

The next product I tested out was the odor removing packs. If your house is like my house, the garbage can does not always have the best of smells. With a newborn and the constant diaper changes I truly needed these packs. All I did was toss one in the bottom of my trash can and put the garbage bag in. Now every time I go into the kitchen, I smell that signature Fresh Waves smell and smile. It is truly the smell of clean. The odor removing packs are safe to use in sneakers, your car, your gym bag and of course your trash cans. This product was definitely my favorite product I received!

The last product I received was the odor removing spray. Being a dog owner, this product will continue to come in handy. Dogs can be messy and this product eliminates the odor after spraying on the desired area. This product is safe to use on clothes, pet odors, backpacks, shoes and trash cans!











I was highly happy overall with these products and would recommend them to anyone looking for a safer and more natural alternative to odor removing products!

Dapple Baby Pure 'N' Clean Everything Review

Since finding out I was pregnant with my now almost 3 month old newborn, I have been on the hunt for the best baby products! During that search, I came across the company Dapple! Dapple is a company that makes baby safe products ranging from cleaners to laundry detergents to dish soaps. The best part about these products is that they are made with green ingredients, free of things like Parabens and Formaldehyde. As the company says, the products are "powered by plants."


When writing this company, I received The Pure 'N' Clean Everything spray cleaner and Wipes to test out for my honest opinion. I am going to start with the spray cleaner. One thing that I really enjoyed about the spray was the smell because it is lavender scented. Lavender is a relaxing scent and cleaning with it just added to my happy experience with the product. The scent gave it that little something extra! What I loved most about this product was how truly clean everything I used it on was. My glass table was free from formula stains, my mirror free of any dust or debris and my kitchen counters looked spotless. It just made my day the first time I cleaned with it and knowing it was made with natural ingredients really put the icing on the cake for me, so to speak.

I also received the cleaner from Dapple in wipe form, one for home and one in a handy to go pack! I loved how convenient it was to just grab a wipe if we had a spill. as many moms and dads know, convenience is key when selecting baby products and these wipes sure do have that factor! I love that they make these in to go packs as well, perfect for the diaper bag!










Another fun fact about these products is that they are NOT tested on animals. as an animal lover and mommy to a Boston Terrier as well, this makes me very happy to see. I also got to try out their Dapple Dish soap and fell in love! I use the soap on all of my babies bottles and they are spotless! They now also come in scents, such as Lavendar and Apple & Pear! I have only tried the unscented but definitely  want to try the Apple & Pear!





As a mom and blogger, I am very satisfied with these products! I will be recommending these products to any parent I know and highly urge any reader to go out and buy them today! NeatCheeks Review!

I have been in search of the best products for my child and have recently stumbled upon Neatcheeks wipes. They are flavored wipes and they are the first(and only!) of their kind. When I first heard of these wipes, I thought it was a great idea but then I tried them and realized they were a GENIUS idea!

 All of the people I have shared these wipes with have really liked the taste! I received both the Fresh flavor and the Just Peachy Flavor! Some of the words used by people I have had try them were Sweet, tasty and convenient.

There are hundreds of different wipe brands out there but only one with flavors that kids will love. Instead of a temper tantrum, the toddlers & children will want more face wipes and will be begging for the wipes like candy!


The NeatCheeks wipes are naturally sweetened with Stevia, a sugar substitute extracted from the leaves of a Stevia rebaudiana. They also contain no GMOS and are alcohol and fragrance free! They also moisturize your child's face!

This company was so willing to send me samples to try with other moms and to write this blog post on for my honest review. When my son gets older, I know I will be purchasing the NeatCheeks wipes for him and some of the moms I shared these with are going out to our local Babies R' Us to buy them right away! Bamboo Nature Diaper Review

During the beginning of my pregnancy I had been very interested in getting samples of different baby products to try. I found Bamboo Nature diapers and requested samples. Luckily enough the company said yes and sent me 4 samples of diapers. I had recently had my son move up to size 1 diapers so we decided to test them out. Here is my open and honest opinion on Bamboo Nature Diapers.

I had never heard of Bamboo Nature diapers before but was excited to try them after taking them out of the package and feeling how soft they were. I did some research and found that the company is very environmentally concerned which is great! I also found out the company doesn't use any dyes or toxic ingredients in their diapers so I won't have to worry about my baby breaking out in a rash. My baby was very comfortable in these diapers and we had no leaks! I am extremely impressed with this brands diapers and will definitely be recommending them to anyone looking for environmentally safe diapers. I find myself noticing Bamboo Nature diapers in stores I typically shop at, such as Walmart and Target, so go try them out today!

My Top 3 Baby Must-Haves(At the Moment!)

 In a world where there are many choices for your little one it can be hard to decide what baby products to use. Whether you are looking for something natural and organic or looking to try out the most popular, it can be a very tough decision. I will be sharing which products I have discovered to work best( with my baby's help of course!) The products that have given me great peace of mind so far are Mustela Hydra Bebe Body Lotion, Boogie Wipes and Babyganics Foaming Dish and Bottle Soap.

My newborn very often than not has dry skin. I have tried a couple of different lotion baby products but none has compared to Mustela Hydra Bebe!

 Mustela Hydra Bebe body lotion uses natural ingredients such as Avocado, Shea and Sunflower. When trying the Hydra Bebe, I found my son's skin to be extremely soft and not to mention how amazing the smell of this product is! I received the product pictured for free from the company when asking for a sample and I am so grateful they sent it to me. I had honestly never heard of the brand before I had my newborn son but when going to stores to pick out products, I find myself seeking out more Mustela products to try for both my son and myself!

If your child is like mine, a stuffy nose is an everyday struggle. Boogie wipes have been my stuffy nose savior! They contain natural saline, known as sodium chloride, which is amazing at thinning and  breaking down mucus. Boogie wipes also contain other natural ingredients like Aloe and Vitamin E to unstuff the stuffiest of noses. They work great any time of year and are especially helpful during allergy season or whenever allergies decide to spring up on you! I find myself not only using boogie wipes for my son but for myself!

Having clean bottles for your baby is extremely important but it is extra important to me because my son is a premature baby, so I was very happy to find a product like Babyganics Foaming Bottle and Dish Soap!
 Babyganics products are non allergic and contain no artificial fragrances. They also use plant based and organic ingredients which helps create(as the company says), "a baby safe world."  Some products can be overwhelming with fragrance but the babyganics brand uses the right amount and leaves your skin soft which isn't the case for some dish soaps. I love the use of natural ingredients and all of their products contain them!

In the end, the decision of what to use depends on your baby and how he or she reacts to the products. I will continue to use these products and I recommend them to any fellow moms or moms-to-be! I can't wait to try more products from each of these companies and urge any of you to do the same!

Thoughts of a preemie mom

Being a first-time mom can bring on many different emotions; will I be able to calm him when he cries or will I be be able to give him everything he needs? In my case,  my biggest question was when will I be able to take him home?

 At 33 weeks pregnant, I had a cesarean section and baby Oliver Wayne was brought into the world 7 weeks early. I had developed severe pre eclampsia which caused an excruciating headache and extreme high blood pressure. Just a week before, I thought my pregnancy was going good. I had passed the glucose test and gone to every appointment. I had thought to myself, just two more months and how crazy it was that my due date was so close. But little did I know that one week later I would be in the hospital, being told by my doctor "looks like you're done being pregnant." Those were the scariest words I had ever heard.

What helped me get through the stress and fear was my family, friends but most importantly, my son's father. During my c- section, he was my biggest support, reassuring me that everything was going to be okay and more importantly, our son was going to be okay. The moment we heard our baby's cry we knew our lives would be changed forever. I felt like my life had a purpose and my heart had never felt such love for something ever before.

 Due to Oliver being 7 weeks premature, he had to immediately go to the NICU, where he spent the first 25 days of his life. Being he was only born at a birth weight of 3 lbs 4 oz, he definitely would have to gain weight before he could go home. Those 25 days were hard on us. I would go to the hospital for a few hours a day to feed him, change him and hold him. The day I left the hospital I didn't get to leave like most moms did with their child instead, I got to go home everyday and then return home without him.

            
  The one thing I will never be able to repay is the staff in the NICU. They took care of Oliver & taught be so much about what it meant to take care of him and to nurture him. The day he came home, I was confident because of what the nurses taught me. The NICU will always have a special place in my heart. Without them, Oliver wouldn't be home healthy with us.
